
A quick & easy breakfast smoothie for the hot summer mornings.
Ingredients:

½ cup mixed raw nuts and seeds (e.g. almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, pepitas)

¼ of a paw paw or ½ cup berries in season
- 1 banana (frozen or fresh)

½ teaspoon nutmeg powder

½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
-
1 teaspoon vanilla essence

½ cup water (more can be added to make a thinner smoothie)

1 tablespoon molasses or honey
- 1 teaspoon carob powder (optional)

1 egg (optional)
-
1 dessertspoon slippery elm powder (optional)
-
1-2 scoops low-reactive protein powder (optional)

Ice (optional)
Method:
- Blend all ingredients together with a stick blender.
This recipe is very soothing for inflamed digestive conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or diarrhoea.
